Classic VW BuGs a 1958 Ragtop Beetle Hammers Down at Gooding Auction for $71,500.00

An amazing number this past weekend folks, a 1958 Ragtop Beetle restored to impeccable quality hammered down at $71,500 bucks at the Gooding & Company Classic Car Auction.  This is practically unheard of for a big window bug, even tough for an oval.  When I tell people prices like this at car shows, they just can’t believe it.  They all think of this cute little car back in the day that we could pick up for a few hundred bucks, beat the piss out of it, and then turn around and sell it for the same price they bought it for, an expendable car!   

Well the times have changed, and the nostalgic lil beast has been holding steady on appreciation all these years.  Amazing news here.
