Classic VW BuGs Rare 1949 Hebmuller Beetle crosses the Mecum Auction Block in Monterey 2016

A rare, some might call the “Holy Grail” of all beetles, the Hebmuller, crosses the Mecum Auto Auction block next week in Monterey August 18-20th.  This is a rare 1949 model Heb, it is estimated in the book to go for 300k-350k.  That is a high estimate to me, but hey, ya never know.  I do question why they went with Mecum over other auction houses that would be more fitting to Euro cars.  Maybe Mecum now has something to offer?  Lets see.  You can watch the auction live on Mecums Website.
