My 1st 1951 Crotch Cooler Split Window Beetle. This car has gone through an impeccable body off restoration. Fully powder coated under body, all new stainless hardware bolted this baby back together. You know how hard it is to find these split beetles in this condition, and once again, the car found me. The last owner was in Michigan with this car and called me to buy his baby. How could we pass it up?
Paint Job is Museum Quality with a near flawless finish, not many splits are for sale across this country, and you can’t beat the finish of this beauty.
The body and chassis match on this car, we found a period correct rebuilt 1951 25hp Motor for it, and installed it, she runs top notch, don’t be afraid to get her up on the highway. This is a top quality restoration that rivals what we do here at ClassicVWbugs.com I am proud to own this beautiful piece of history.
Other things we did to update the car; New Correct Rear Pillows Correct Ribbed Semaphores Tightened up interior, straightened out headliner and padded roof for insulation. Acquired new assist straps Fixed seat rails Found Correct 25hp Motor Rebuild Telefunkin Radio Correct Rear Ash Tray
Now I don't want to be accused or called a "Tire Kicker" and I know there was a number to call for "Details", but if I may: "What would be the (range) price of such a truly beautiful, collectable, investment vehicle like this"? Just a range so I can see if I want to go in the back yard and start digging up cans. Thanks.
@1Cool65RedBug From looking at the market, the ups and downs, and the condition of this split, it is between a 60k-72k car. From what I have seen. To me this is probably one of the best looking splits on the market today that is for sale.
